Public list: volunteers who are interested in the WSF subscribe to this list using the Babels website (http://www.babels.org/registration).

STEP 2

FSM2005-Shortlist

Babels coordinators throughout the world propose a ’shortlist’ of volunteers who subscribed to ’fsm-wsf 2005’. Coordinators use different criteria to pre-select the volunteers: language combinations, level of experience, geographic localization, etc. For more details on the criteria used, see the Babels website. All volunteers on this list are sent an email asking them confirm their availability to participate in the WSF.
Volunteers must reply to the confirmation email saying: "Yes, I am available, etc." to go to step 3

STEP 3

fsm2005-Confirmed
54 members
People are confirmed by the Selection-Workgroup. People are unsubscribed from ’FSM2005-Shortlist’ and subscribed to ’fsm2005-Confirmed’ after the confirmation process handled by the selection group.
People are asked to confirm their travel information to proceed to step 4

People who are confirmed but put on standby for budgetary reasons.

STEP 4

fsm2005-VIAJE
155 members
People from "fsm2005-confirmed" are put in this list, after their travel information has been checked. The people on ’fsm2005-VIAJE’ will receive electronic plane tickets by email after their file is processed in Brazil by the Viaje-Workgroup.
Once the travel plans are complete, the volunteers proceed to step 5

STEP 5

fsm2005-Housing+Planification

People are put in this list ONLY after their travel plans are finished and tickets issued (prepaid), or if the people need NO tickets at all. Organisation of housing for the volunteers. Beginning of the language-booth planning.
