ESF 2004: call for volunteers
(Date: 16 June 2004)
You can now register on the babels database your interest as a volunteer interpreter or translator for the 2004 European Social Forum, to be held in London from October 14th to 17th.
We are looking for volunteers in all European languages and particularly welcome volunteers from Eastern and Central Europe as for this ESF we are trying to encourage a greater use of languages from these countries.
As the event is taking place in the UK, we will also need a large number of volunteers into English.
If you want to, you can see the discussions that have already been taking place about languages and the ESF on the babels online forum at www.babels.org/forum.
Whatever your language combination, please volunteer now for the 2004 ESF by registering or by updating your dossier.
Please also check that your language combination(s) are correct (A language = mother tongue or equivalent, i.e. completely bilingual; B language = excellent working knowledge of language, happy to interpret into or out of this language; C language = very good working knowledge, happy to interpret from this into A or B language) and that your experience level is correct.
As with the 2003 ESF in Paris, accommodation will be provided free of charge.
If you have any questions about the 2004 ESF, please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to answer them.
We hope to see as many of you as possible in London in October.
