Travelling and Visa details

Here are some useful information about travelling to Athens.

A. Interpreters travelling by plane

All interpreters that have bought their tickets themselves will be reimbursed during the 4th European Social Forum. In order for you to take your money back please take into account that we need to have the COUPON of the airplane ticket you bought. The Greek Tax Company considers this coupon as a valid receipt and the Organizing Committee of the ESF askes all interpreters travelling by plane to hand this COUPON to us. We also need a PHOTOCOPY of your departure and return ticket and if possible a receipt.

All interpreters should arrange their ticket with Lina F. You have to let her know about the cost of your ticket well in advance. Please DO NOT BUY YOUR TICKET unless you have contacted Lina F. If your name does NOT appear in Lina’s file you will not be reimbursed.

B. Interpreters travelling by train, bus or boat

The interpreters travelling by train, bus or boat are coming from Greece. They should also hold the COUPONS of their tickets and a photocopy of it. Yous should also contact Lina F. in the email address: babels-el@babels.org and let her know about your ticket. There is a maximun of 80 euros for the reimbursement of interpreters coming from other parts of Greece. Please do not exceed this sum and let us know BEFOREHAND about the cost of your ticket.

C. VISA

Those interpreters that need a visa or an invitation letter to enter Greece should download the following file, fill it in and send it back to us in the email address: babels-el@babels.org
